- Graduated with a degree in Medicine from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
- Completed his Rural Service in Gravia, Fokida Greece
- Trained in General Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Penteli
- Completed his training in Urology at Sismanoglio Hospital, in the 2nd Urology Department of the University of Athens
- Was awarded his PhD from the Medical School of the University of Athens, on bladder cancer
- Specialized in Endourology, Reconstructive Surgery and Urinary Oncology at Guy’s Hospital and the Institute of Urology in London, United Kingdom
- Was awarded the title of Honorary Lecturer at King’s College London, United Kingdom
He is married to Anesthesiologist Krystalia Alexopoulou. They have two children, Konstantinos, a Urologist and Pinelopi, a Psychiatrist.
